I'm Marius Demeter, a contemporary mixed-media artist and the creator behind MD25Arts, working from Felixdorf, near Wiener Neustadt, Austria.
My work lives in the contrast between structure and chaos, past and future, raw texture and vibrant color. I combine acrylic, texture paste, epoxy resin, neon pigments, gold leaf and mixed-media elements into bold, one-of-one compositions.
I loved painting as a child, nature and anything abstract. Life took me elsewhere for years: I work as an IT engineer, and construction and renovation became another hobby that filled my hands. In 2024 I picked up the brush again, and painting became my escape from the noise of everyday life.
A piece usually starts with an idea, or something I notice in nature or online: innovation, technology, human ambition, iconic moments from history, reinterpreted through a modern lens. From there I sketch a rough plan and let the rest follow instinct.
For me, art is more than decoration. It's a way to turn idea, energy and emotion into something you can touch. I hope whoever hangs a piece on their wall feels the quality of the work and the materials, even without needing to fully grasp what it's about.
